It portrays a beautiful representation of a'Mother and Baby Emu' in an'Outback Landscape'. Struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, the reverse includes the inscription'AUSTRALIAN EMU', together with the coin's weight, purity and year-date. This coin comes in a protective Round Capsule which is nestled in black velvet, all inside a beautifully-themed case. The'Certificate of Authenticity' (COA) can be found within the Box along with coin information and mintage details. This Non-circulating Legal Tender (NCLT) silver coin is an addition to the Australian Emu coin series (it is the fourth in the series). The'Perth Mint' originally issued this coin in a'more common' non-colour version. The Emu is an iconic Australian bird which stands up to 1.9 metres in height, on long powerful legs, which can propel it to speeds of nearly 50 kilometres an hour. The Emu appears on Australia's coat of arms along with the Kangaroo - reputed to have been chosen because neither willingly takes a backwards step.
